“My priority is to nurture curiosity and a love of music. A reward for me every day is seeing people improve, grow in confidence and feel proud of their achievements”

Instrumental and Performance Coaching

I teach piano and harpsichord to all ages. I have worked in a wide range of music environments. I have worked at the Royal College of Music, Trinity Laban and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I work in private and state schools, pupil referral units and young offenders institutions. I also run my own private teaching practice.

I help people achieve their personal performance goals, be it attaining successful exam results,  mastering a challenging work with confidence or playing for the sheer love of it.

I help people achieve exam success in theory, and ABRSM and Trinity practical exams. I support students with GCSE and A’level  and do short courses for those needing to improve sight reading and aural skills. Whilst I am proud when my students get good marks, my priority is always to nurture curiosity and a love of music.

As a performance coach, I work with individuals and ensembles. I help people to improve and enjoy their playing more not only by giving them ways to practise more effectively but also tools to deal with anxiety, pressure and self doubt.

I teach music theory, support learning of current GCSE and A-level music courses and help people fill skill gaps to enable them to get onto chosen courses or work opportunities. I also do short courses for those wishing to improve their sight reading, or aural tests for ABRSM or Trinity instrumental exams.

Education workshops

I have played in numerous education workshops in schools with various ensembles, colleagues, UK music services and with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE).

I also have performed in many concerts for children and with the ‘Bach to Baby’ concert series.
